Become Teammates with the Flyers Alumni

Written by Flyers Alumni Team

Flyers Alumni from every generation will participate in the various cycling and running/walking events at the 2018 Toyota Flyers Charity Classic. You can become our teammate by registering for ANY of the events.

Regardless of the event of your choice, there will be ample opportunity to interact with your Alumni teammates on the day of the event.

If you cannot attend, please consider a donation in the name of the Flyers Alumni Team.  Proceeds raised by our team will be donated to the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation in conjunction with the Flyers Alumni's pledge to raise $2 million to be used for the construction of a new rink for use by Snider Hockey.

Fittingly, Paul Holmgren will serve as the captain of the Flyers Alumni Team. "Homer" is the only person in Flyers franchise history to serve the organization as a player, assistant coach, head coach, assistant general manager, general manager and team president.

"I think I can speak for all Flyers Alumni when I say that being a Flyer is a something special. Mr. Snider created a special legacy. He gave so much not only to us and our families but to the city of Philadelphia and the entire Delaware Valley community," Holmgren said.

"It's always fun to get together with the Alumni guys and I think it's a great thing that Flyers fans can join our team to ride, run or walk alongside us as our teammates. To be honest, it's great to get together just for the enjoyment of it. But to all come together as a way to recognize what Mr. Snider meant to all of us -- and to pay that forward by giving back to the community through the Alumni and Flyers Charities -- is something special. I'm honored to be part of it."
